Cork hurler. Photo from the Irish Examiner.My partner really loves this Irish game called hurling. The game is really popular here, but hardly known in anywhere else, if we don't count the Irish communities around the world. I am not that interested in this sport, but if someone wants to get some more information, you can check for example Wikipedia.
Anyway I made this wool hat to use in the Cork hurling matches. Irish weather could be hard around the year. The new owner was happy of his new silly hat. The pattern is my own and the yarns I used are all Irish origin. The red one is Fisherman's from Blarney Woollen Mills and the white one is some anonymous Irish wool from the Vibes&Scribes arts and craft shop.
